rose

Last week the pansies were blooming. This week, the roses gets all the attention in the gardens. Went for a walk this afternoon and took some pictures of the roses. It's one of the most common flowers as a gift but in the garden, they are kinda boring. It's nice to look at the big and striking ones but after a while, they pretty much look the same. There are not as many colors as the other flowers.
The one thing I like about roses is they smell really good. The red one is one of the most perfect rose I've seen. The orangy pink one is called Circus and don't ask me why but I think the name suits the color.
While carnations represent a mother's never-ending love, roses represent a lover's love and I do believe that it is true. A lover's love is a beautiful love but if we're not careful, the thorns will hurt us so bad that they stay for a while but it will always heal. As we go on, we learn how to deal with the thorns and everything is all good again. This is one of the most diverse bush of roses in the garden. Isn't it pretty? The roses here seems to be a lot larger than the ones we get in the store. Maybe? haha..I haven't really paid attention to store roses actually.

Besides the roses, they have also started to touch up the Herb Garden.
The one at the back is 'chien hom' (Basil) ...or is it called 'daun kaduk'? Can't remember!!! The one on the front right looks like 'po ho' (the one we use for asam laksa) right? It's been so long since I've eaten or seen a 'po ho' I can't really tell anymore. Boo hoo hoo..

Never mind. Can always go to Penang Tropical Spice Garden. :P
