Besides the brunch orientation this morning, it's pretty much a day all to ourselves. Since it was still too early for Brasil vs.
Australia (it was around
11am when it finished),
Ping tried to call daddy…but it’s actually
1.30am in
Hayman Island (oopsss..blur with time difference). So went to walk around to try to look for the beach but could not find any within the short distance that
Ping walked.
Walked back to Captain Kidd and got the same seats again!! - it was right in front of the beers! That was awesome because it’s right near the tv.
Ping knows more people now so it’s a lot more fun to cheer for
Brazil. J, M, and S were there along with those from Parasitology course. It was a nice group because there was approximately equal number of supporters for Brasil and
Australia.
After the game, Ping followed J and the Parasitology group to Stony Beach. It was definitely an unexpected beach. Lovely but very tiny. Hang out there for a while and then walked around Woods Hole looking for another beach. Couldn’t find any but the houses around here are really cute and cosy looking. The other interesting thing here is the drawbridge! This is the first time Ping saw a drawbridge. It's cool but if Ping is staying here, Ping would most likely be pissed at those people who has their sail boat parked at Eel Pond. Everytime a sail boat needs to pass through, the bridge will be drawn up and it takes forever!!
Ping ended up at the souvenir store buying postcards and found that there is another beach but it’s about 2 miles away. Maybe Ping will go there next weekend or something. As for now, Ping wanna go get some dinner and start looking through the notes for tomorrow. So many ‘well-known’ people, gotta try to do my best too. Let the spirit of Microbial Diversity begins!!
